You’ll be able to meet other prospective members, chat with our Recruitment Team, learn about JLSF and listen in on the discussion with active JLSF members!
We will meet at 6:15pm in the foyer of our JLSF Headquarters (2226A Fillmore Street) to chat before the event starts at 6:30pm! You will meet with a few members of our team to chat about joining JLSF and then continue onto sit together at the event upstairs at our HQ.

An empowering event highlighting actionable steps toward financial confidence and a life of purpose, “Breaking Barriers” features Marla Sofer, who draws from her leadership in traditionally male-dominated industries and companies like JP Morgan and Microsoft through her founding of
Knomee. Marla will share her insights on resilience, leadership, and the significance of aligning key decisions—both professional and personal—with one’s core purpose. This event seeks to inspire attendees to break through barriers and become catalysts for change in their lives, industries, and communities.
Speaker Bio: Marla Sofer is an accomplished leader with extensive experience at top global firms like JP Morgan, BlackRock, and Microsoft. After 20 years exploring investment operations from a broad array of perspectives, she was inspired to create Knomee, a fintech platform that helps individuals discover their unique “financial identity” and connect with the right advisors. Marla is known for her innovative leadership, having driven major growth initiatives, strategic partnerships, and efficiency programs in multi-billion dollar organizations. In 2020, she was recognized as a Woman of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
