International Find the Good Day

An International Day to celebrate the GOOD in and all around us

International Find the Good Day – created by The Junior League – is dedicated to finding the good in yourself, your community, and the world around you. It commemorates the Junior Leagues’ core values, which started in the late 19th century when visionary women established the first Junior League in New York City.  This Day is not just a date on the calendar; it’s a movement that reflects the timeless spirit of Junior Leagues – a legacy of kindness, empowerment, and community transformation. Together, we aim to make a difference by embracing the power of unity, positive change, and finding the good

Volunteer With Us

Come roll up your sleeves alongside us! Members of JLSF will be volunteering directly with our community partners.

September 6th — Assembling hygiene packs for Compass Family Services

September 13th — Helping out at Florence Fang Community Farm, writing cards of encouragement for Maitri, and joining Magic Tooth Bus at SF Pregnancy Village.

Your time and presence make an immediate impact in our community!

Celebrate With Us

The Junior League of San Francisco is celebrating International Find The Good Day by honoring our community partners at our Find The Good Day wrap party on September 18th. This event will highlight their incredible work and the impact they make across San Francisco.

Our Community Partners

Compass Family Services leads the way in helping San Francisco families facing homelessness secure stable housing and attain economic self-sufficiency and family well-being. While helping families secure long-term housing, Compass provides the most comprehensive range of support services designed specifically for those in distress. They have served the city of San Francisco for over 100 years.

Florence Fang Community Farm helps to improve food security, increase healthy living habits, practice natural farming techniques, and increase social connectedness within and between communities of color. Their farm also supports their community’s food sovereignty by providing a food source that is consistent with cultural identities and involving community networks that promote self-reliance and mutual aid.

Maitri believes that no one should have to suffer, transition, or die alone. They provide compassionate residential care for people in need of hospice or 24-hour medical care. They’ve expanded their care to meet the needs of the community and began serving people recovering from gender affirmation surgery. Maitri strives to provide care that is dignified, nonjudgmental, and unconditional.

Magic Tooth Bus provides equitable dental care, education, and family enrollment assistance to marginalized communities. They are a nonprofit mobile dentistry that presents oral health care curriculum, performs preventative services, and helps families sign up for dental care within the San Francisco Bay Area region. They envision a world free of dental disease where all children and their families have equitable access to oral health programs and services.
