Are you free on Sunday, March 22nd? Join the Junior League of San Francisco on Saturday morning to help out during GLIDE’s meal service. As a volunteer, we will serve as a friendly and warm presence to the clients. The work is simple (plating food, greeting guests, bussing tables, cleaning up after service, making bag lunches, chopping vegetables), but the value is far greater! Meals Team Staff and GLIDE Safety Monitors will be present to answer your questions and provide safety to clients, staff, and volunteers.
- Upon Arrival: GLIDE Staff will be available to greet you at the front desk of our 330 Ellis Street Entrance. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before the start of your volunteer service for a brief check-in before being escorted to your shift.
- Storing Personal Items: We ask that you bring as few personal items with you as possible. You will be able to keep small items on/near you during your service.
- Clothing Requirements: Please wear comfortable clothing. Each volunteer must wear closed-toe shoes and shirts with long or short sleeves (No tank tops). Gloves, an apron and a hairnet will be provided for you. You can wear a hat or beanie if you have one. Wearing a mask is optional at GLIDE but are available to volunteers if needed.
- Accessibility: Public transportation or car service (i.e. Uber/Lyft) are highly recommended. Location is a short walk from Powell MUNI/BART Stations.
