2025 Women’s Leadership Gala

Join us for the Junior League of San Francisco, Inc.’s Women’s Leadership Gala, our annual fall fundraiser to support and celebrate the JLSF’s 114th years of involvement in the Bay Area and recognize women who have devoted their time, energy, and resources to serving our community. This year’s honorees are Tammy Braas-Hill and Eva Sage-Gavin.
The event will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at The Green Room. The black tie event will begin at 5:30 PM with a sponsor reception and cocktail hour. General Admission (GA) check in begins at 6:00pm. A 3-course dinner will be served alongside the event program and awards presentation.

2025 WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP GALA HONOREES
Each year, the JLSF selects two honorees to recognize: one who is currently an Active or Sustaining Member of the League, and one from the San Francisco Bay Area community. The honorees are visionaries with strong leadership skills who have given generously of their time, energy, and resources to further philanthropic causes and improve our Bay Area community.
Our honorees for this year’s Women’s Leadership Gala are Tammy Braas-Hill and Eva Sage-Gavin.

Tammy Braas-Hill, League Honoree
Tammy Braas-Hill is a fourth generation native of San Francisco. She started her volunteerism while attending Presentation High School. Helping children at Laurel School with special learning needs. She also volunteered with Helpers Home which supports adults with developmental disabilities at their Ghirardelli Square pop up location. While attending San Francisco State University Tammy volunteered with the elderly at Spring Gardens. After graduating college she started her career in retail fashion and visual merchandising. In 1992, a co-worker encouraged Tammy to join the Junior League of San Francisco. This started her thirty-three years of volunteerism with the Junior League. Her past commitment experiences includes La Casa de las Madres, Transfers, Empowerment Project, Fashion Show, Provisional Education, Nominating, Strategy Planning, Finance, Fund Development Ad Hoc, The Centennial Celebration which created “A Century of Commitment” booklet. Tammy was the Chair of Next-to-New/Consignment Boutique, Merchandise committee, Cookbook committee, 16th Annual Home Tour and The Women at the Center Honors (WATCH). She was on the Board of Directors as Fundraising Council Director, Corresponding Secretary, Assistant to the President and Sustainer Council Director. She was awarded Active of the Year in 2004 and The Spirit of the League in 2013. During her sustainer years Tammy was asked to share the Leagues History to incoming Provisional members at their meetings.
Tammy joined the San Francisco Garden Club in 2003. She became President in 2016-2018. During her presidency they raised funds for the San Francisco Botanical Gardens and City College of San Francisco Botanical and Horticultural students with the Alice Eastwood Awards. In 2021, Tammy joined the San Francisco Auxiliary of the Fine Arts Museums. She Co-chaired the 40th anniversary of Bouquets to Art in 2024. During Tammy’s health recovery she is still a member of the Junior League of San Francisco, San Francisco Garden Club and San Francisco Fine Arts Museum. Tammy and her Husband Randy will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in 2026.

Eva Sage-Gavin, Community Honoree
Eva Sage-Gavin is a recognized Fortune 100 business executive, board director, and thought leader on transformation, the future of work and corporate governance. Most recently, she served as Senior Managing Director at Accenture, leading the Talent, Organization and Human Potential global practice and helping C-suite clients drive digital transformation and workforce innovation. She previously held executive and CHRO roles at Gap Inc., Disney Consumer Products, PepsiCo, and several technology companies, and has advised CEOs and boards as a Senior Advisor to the Boston Consulting Group and G100 companies.
Sage-Gavin has served as director on multiple public and private boards. In 2025, she was named to the National Academy of Sciences Board on Human Systems Integration. She has been recognized by the NACD Directorship 100, HR Executive’s Top 100 HR Tech Influencers, and as a leading voice on transformation and the future of work by Silicon Republic. She currently chairs the Women Corporate Directors Bay Area chapter and serves on advisory councils at Stanford University, Santa Clara University, and the Innovation Resource Center for HR Board. A Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources, she holds a B.S. from Cornell University, where she is Executive in Residence at the ILR School. She will also be celebrating her 35-year wedding anniversary this year with her husband, Dennis Gavin.
Our Master of Ceremonies

Jan Yanehiro
Jan Yanehiro is an Emmy Award winning Broadcast Journalist who helped pioneer the magazine format on television as co-host of Evening Magazine, a nightly program in San Francisco that ran for 15 years on CBS-5. She has hosted 8 documentaries on the incarceration and redress of Japanese Americans during World War II. Jan has won multiple awards including the Girl Scout’s Woman of Distinction Award, and the Eleanor Roosevelt Humanitarian Award. She is the Chair of Kristi Yamaguchi’s Always Dream Legacy Circle; a board member of The San Francisco-Osaka Sister City Association and is the former Board Chair of The Representation Project, an organization focused on gender equality.
She is the co-author of 4 books, her latest book is titled, “This Is Not The Life I Ordered…60 Ways To Keep Your Head Above Water When Life Keeps Dragging You Down.” Jan has 3 adult children and is the proud grandmother of 3—so far.

Where is the venue located? Where is check-in?
The Green Room is located in Herbst Theatre at 401 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA, 94102. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. Guests must be 21 or older to attend; please bring a valid government ID.
Is there parking available?
There is limited street parking available in front of the theatre and at the nearby symphony hall and opera house. Street parking is free after 6:00 PM.
There are also several garages within walking distance.
Performing Arts Garage (Grove and Franklin): Mon-Fri 6:00 – 10:00 PM
Civic Center Garage (McAllister and Polk): Mon-Fri 6:00 – 10:00 PM

How can I pay for my ticket?
Our platform accepts all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and electronic transfer via ACH. For sponsored tickets, we highly encourage guests to pay using ACH payment as that will reduce our transaction fees with our credit card processor. If your preferred payment is not listed above or on the ticket form, please reach out to gala@jlsf.org.
Will I receive a ticket in the mail?
No, all tickets will be delivered electronically.
Will tickets be sold at the door?
No–all guests must have purchased their tickets prior to the event.
How many seats or guests can sit at a table?
The Green Room rounds can provide comfortable seating for 8 guests. If you are purchasing the Emerald and Diamond Sponsorship tickets, we will be providing slightly larger tables for you and your guests. Otherwise, all guests will be seated at an 8-person table.
I would like to purchase a table with my family/friends/members. Can we send separate payments to secure the table?
Payment is required at the time of purchase. If you would like to purchase a table with your family, friends or JLSF members, please send the payment to one person in your party to secure the table. Or, if you prefer to pay with check(s), please submit all checks made payable to The Junior League of San Francisco, Inc. in one installment. Your table will not be secured until we receive final payment.
What should I wear?
The event is formal, black-tie recommended.
Is there a coat check?
Yes there will be a coat check past the check in/registration table.
Will there be dinner options to choose from for people with dietary restrictions?
Guests may indicate their entree selection of chicken, beef, or vegetarian. Please list any other allergies or dietary restrictions on the form and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Are drinks included in the ticket price?
Drinks are included in the ticket price. We will have an open bar available for the evening. Guests with a VIP ticket will have access to a private bar on the Loggia.
How do I participate in the paddle raise?
To participate in live bidding during the event, guests must register with a valid form of payment on our bidding platform, Auctria. To register, please go to Auctria.com and follow the steps on the website to sign up for an account. If you already have an Auctria account, you do not need to sign up again.
Note: If you are participating in both the paddle raise and silent auction, there might be instances where your silent auction bidder number and paddle raise number are different. Please double check to make sure your paddle/bid number is correct.
Will there be a silent auction?
Yes, there will be a silent auction. We will be utilizing the Auctria platform. In order to bid on the items, you must register and have a credit card on file.
Do I have to attend the gala to participate in the silent auction?
No, you do not have to attend the gala to participate in the silent auction. Items will either be sent directly to the winners or they will be able to drop by to JLSF HQ at a scheduled time to pick up the item.
Are the tickets refundable?
No–tickets are nonrefundable. If you need to transfer your ticket to another guest, please email gala@jlsf.org.
