JLSF’s Advocacy Committee engages in projects that address our focus area of bridging the gap of essential needs in San Francisco. Essential needs encompasses a number of issues, but we target our work within three pillars: Housing, Food, and Basic Personal Necessities.

Since 2016, the JLSF has held an annual diaper drive to support Help a Mother Out®, a nonprofit organization that works to improve baby and family well-being by increasing access to diapers for families in need. Our contribution helps bolster the social and emotional health of mothers and babies by creating stability and opportunities for families living in poverty in the Bay Area.
